Heroes

They say you should never meet your heroes well yesterday in Ballymena Patsy got to meet two of his heroes Jim Redman and Ralph Bryans who ironically we were only talking about on the way up to Ballymena in the car and I got to meet one of my heroes John mc Guinness in Ballymoney later in the day, and they were all great to meet and took time to talk to everybody and get their picture taken,so it is sometimes absolutely great to meet your heroes. John mc Guinness launched his book yesterday with Stephen Davidson in the town hall in Ballymoney and I queued for over two hours with all the other fans and the line was never ending for over five or six hours with John taking time for everybody for a pic or to sign helmets,t shirts ,the book and whatever else people brought in,its must have been a endurance event akin to one of the 24hour races TT legends do but he was cordial to the end and a true gentleman ,as for the book it is a great looking book and no doubt a great read but sadly after the queuing and the drive to get it I will have to wait until Christmas to actually get to read it as one of the family will want to give it to me such is family life !!!!
