Rudge
At shows sometimes the bikes are too close together to get a good look at them ,this is the best I could do to get a view of a gorgeous Rudge,note the seller !!

Yesterday I made the three hour trip to the motorcycle show in Comber Co Down for their annual motorcycle show,not the biggest show but if i see one or two bikes of interest to me I am happy,this time it wasn,t a bike that caught my interest but a person.David Crawford the Author of the Stanley Woods book I read over the Christmas,he is a real encyclopedia of motorcycle knowledge and once we got talking we didn,t know when to stop ,apart from all the tales of Stanley in the book David had even more that he could not put in print,he and his lovely wife were good enough to give me some of Stanley s original letter headed paper and bill of sale for his TT Toffee business which match the sweet box I got years ago I have also pictured a nice badge which I bought at the show of David,hopefully in the summer I will get a chance to see Davids bike collection and have a longer chat when he is not so busy signing his book,,,,

Charlie Manders
Charlie Manders here with Stanley Woods ,its seldom i come across a Irish racer that I have not heard of before and it seems that Charlie has a couple of North West victories ,here sitting on a Rudge

If you ever get a chance to buy this book take it,the best book on Stanley I have read,I hope to meet the author this year,and all the proceeds go to charity,,

I,m late i,m late
Got caught napping this year for the TT the ferry I wanted booked out ,were going to miss the first race on Saturday and arrive on the Island on Mad Sunday,,not the best situation but at least we have the rest of the weeks racing anyways we can,t change it now the tickets are paid for,,,,,

It seems Adrian Archibald is retiring from the roads ,this will be another of the older racers calling it a day ,I am glad for him to get out intact he has had a brilliant career and with 3 TT wins had nothing left to prove,his bikes were always some of the best turned out bikes in the paddock and he had a great riding style.Best of luck to him and his family and be strong and stay retired ,,,
