Bank holiday here today and just as well it pissed rain all weekend,,,,

Four friends spend MONTHS planning the perfect TT camping and riding trip. Two days before the group is to leave Rob's wife puts her foot down and tells him he isn't going. Rob's friends are very upset that he can't go, but what can they do. Two days later the three get to the UNION MILLS camping site only to find Rob sitting there with a tent set up, firewood gathered, and supper cooking on the fire. "Dang man, how long you been here and how did you talk your wife into letting you go?" "Well, I've been here since yesterday. Yesterday evening I was sitting in my chair and my wife came up behind me and put her hands over my eyes and said 'guess who'?" I pulled her hands off and she was wearing a brand new see through nightie. She took my hand and took me to our bedroom. The room had two dozen candles and rose pedals all over. She had on the bed, handcuffs and ropes! She told me to tie and cuff her to the bed and I did. And then she said, "now, you can do what ever you want." So here I am cool.

Went to see Tupelo last night at the Ballyshannon music Festival a great band full of energy ,also got a Hank Williams style band on way home a good evening of wine ,porter good company and music !

Called to Parsy to critique the Triton build and grabbed some old pics,he has some enthusiasm for a octogenarian puts me to shame, Thats him on his old Tricati 350 and sitting on Gary,s CB1100R back in the day ,some man for one man ! Next up is all four of us on the bikes,my oldest brother on his 650 Katana ,Gary on his 400 Suzuki Patsy with a Yamaha XS250 that had been fire damaged and he repaired and finally the brat on a DT100 Yamaha the only new bike I ever had and paid for with a part time job also included is some stray kid with no bike ,,,,

Looking back !

Here on Fingymoto it is good to remember the brave and skilled racers that have raced and died in this mad sport,People have said to me that us Irish are to inclined to be morbid and dwell on death and the darker side of racing but I will make no apologies for looking back on racers that I have seen racing ,been in races with and been told about by Patsy and others that have followed racing all their lives just as I have.If I start naming all these brave men I am sure to leave some out so its a big thank you to them all for the memories and Fingymoto never forgets,,,here is a nice pic of Gene
