Richie
Local rider Richie mc Loughlin had a very successfull Dundrod 150 meeting with a 8th place finish in the National race and a 16th place in the Challenge race ,these races had very large fields and in the Challenge race he was up against 1000cc bikes on his 600,also he set his fastest lap of the Ulster circuit with a lap of 118.078 mph and with a bit more practice a 120mph is within grasp,here are some pics of McLoughlin racing with a camera shy Richie posing with the much used trusty Yamaha r6 and his brother and chief mechanic Tricksey in the hat !!
The next race and last of the season is in Killalane Co Dublin in mid September and is always a good track for the lads ,hopefully we will get to it to finish off the season..

William was riding great on the Wilson Craig 600 at the UGP with a win and a second place in the Supersport class,
Sad News
Am just back from the Ulster and got another sad reminder of the Darker side of the Roadracing with the death of young Lee Vernon at Rock bends in the Dundrod 150,Lee passed us in the race near the start of the flying kilo and was looking good and fast.RIP Lee, sad to see anybody dying but someone so young is heartbreaking,,,,

Day trip
We went to Ballyshannon to see the Lost Brothers on Sunday ,the day turned out to be a bit of a adventure where we met lots of different people,we drank porter and enjoyed the music,on Thursday its the Dundrod 150 followed by the Ulster Grand Prix on Saturday so am staying North for a couple of nights,I bought a Van Morrison cd to listen to while up north it seemed the right thing to do but beware it will be non stop roadracing pics for the next while,,,,

Lovely Leitrim
Gary and I did a tour of Leitrim this morning ,I am loving the CBR and the more I drive it the more I like it.This Is Glenade lake on one of my favourite roads from Kinlough to Manorhamilton ,,,,,
The Bit O Red
The Sligo Rovers match last night was a masterclass in soccer with the Rovers defeating Drogheda four goals to one,This was not a walk over of a weaker team but a great match against their nearest rival,the level of skill on the pitch was second to none and a real step up for the Airtricity league. T
he new stand looks good with the mountains in the background and the pitch was looking perfect so all in all it was a great nights entertainment,,,

Predicting roadrace results is not always easy ,but I think Guy will shine at the Ulster next weekend,I am not a fan by any means ,But he has to get his full form back soon and this might be the meeting !!!

Top of the table clash on Saturday night,Sligo Rovers league leaders versus Drogheda who are one point behind ,Sligo still have a game in hand !I will make my annual appearance to support my spouse on Saturday night and cheer on the bit o red,,,,
Norton and Steven Cull
Steven Cull did the parade laps on the rotary Norton at Armoy,there is no mistaking the distinctive exhaust note when he revved it out,Steven was kind enough to stand in for a photo but unfortunately the excitement got to me and the pic is not the best but worth a post anyways,The bike itself is impressive to look at and a real racer nice and rough around the edges,,,,
